Her teaching and research focus on the intersections between science and society, including sexism and science; science and popular culture (especially science in the works of J.R.R. Tolkien); and the history of science. She is the author of the books <em>Stephen Hawking: A Biography, Cosmology 101<\/em>, <em>The Women Who Popularized Geology in the 19<sup>th<\/sup> Century<\/em>, and <em>Particle Panic! <\/em>Her latest project is a book on Science and Magic in the world of Andrzej Sapkowski\u2019s Witcher series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Email Address<\/strong> | larsen@ccsu.edu<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Midia Mohammadi | <\/strong>Midia Mohammadi graduated from the University of Tehran and is a researcher primarily studying Anglophone Literature. Her research mainly focuses on contextual analysis of literary works in the light of various theoretical approaches. Her main areas of interest include postcolonialism, post-Marxism, feminism, and ecocriticism. Regarding science fiction and fantasy studies, she has conducted research on Francis Godwin\u2019s <em>The Man in the Moone<\/em>, Mary Shelley\u2019s <em>The Last Man<\/em>, Octavia Butler\u2019s <em>Kindred<\/em>, and Clotilde Graves\u2019s \u201cThe Great Beast of Kafue\u201d and \u201cWhite Man\u2019s Magic.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Email Address<\/strong> | midiamohammadi@ut.ac.ir<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stephen Poon | <\/strong>Stephen is a social design catalyst, who has his own particular view of the world, worked and studied all over the Europe. His multicultural background is reflected in his versatile approach and continuous interest in design, innovation, and social change. Actively in research, he has published in scholarly journals and magazines on contemporary critical issues regarding integrated sustainability and urban creativity, discourse across a wide range of culture, media, and creative industries fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Email Address<\/strong> | stephentfpoon@aol.com<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jarrel De Matas | <\/strong>Jarrel De Matas is from Trinidad and Tobago. He holds an MA in English Literature from the University of the West Indies. At present, he is a PhD English candidate and Teaching Associate of College Writing at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. His research interests include Postcolonial Criticism, Posthuman theory, and Caribbean Science Fiction. He has published in the Journal of West Indian Literature, Caribbean Journal of Cultural Studies, and Criterion, to name a few.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Email Address<\/strong> | jdematas@umass.edu<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sonia Malik | <\/strong>Sonia Malik works as an Assistant Professor in Dept. of English at Hindu College, Sonepat, Haryana, India. She has published two edited books on Adaptation Studies and a monograph on Indian Diaspora. Moreover, she has 22 research paper publications and numerous paper presentations to her credit. Her recent research interests include: Disability Studies and Digital Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ambika Raja | <\/strong>Ambika Raka is a former journalist from India who has recently completed a Master in English Literature at The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad. She pursued her under graduation in English Language and Literature at the Madras Christian College, Tamil Nadu and subsequently worked as an education reporter with two national dailies in India. Her areas of research interest include Ecocriticism, South Asian Literature and Popular Culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jo\u00e3o Paulo Serafim | <\/strong>Jo\u00e3o Paulo Serafim is a visual artist working with different medias, photography, video and objects creating installations, publishing and punctually performing.
